| Alex Trebek wants you to get messed up. |
The Jist:
This is a great couples game, as it works well with two people. Next time you are hanging out with a friend and watching Jeopardy (which, hopefully, is on a regular basis, because Jeopardy is bad-ass), try this one out. It won't get you trashed but you should have a nice buzz by the time its done.
What You'll Need:
Two people, each with 3 beers at least.
-The Rules-
General Play:
A question pops up on the screen. One person shouts out the answer. If they are right, then the other person drinks. If they are wrong, they drink. There isn't a standard drink amount, it shouldn't be a sip but it probably shouldn't be a glug, either. About 1 second (counting "one-one-thousand") should do it.
Double Jeopardy, First Round:
Same rules as the general play, except the loser has to finish the bottle of beer they are drinking.
Double Jeopardy, Second Round:
As there are two of these in a round, each player is assigned one, and forced to answer. Same rules as the first round, if they get it right, the opposing player finishes their beer. If they are wrong, they finish theirs.
Final Jeopardy:
The wager here is always the same: one full bottle of beer to be finished as fast as possible. The question comes up on the screen, each player writes down their answer. A wrong answer results in the chugging of the beer. A right answer excludes that possibility. That means that it is possible that both people might have to chug, or neither.
By the end of the 30 minutes, if both people are evenly matched, then it is conceivable that both people will finish between 2 and 3 beers, which is a decent pace to get buzzed. Again, this game probably won't get anyone too messed up (unless they are the type of person who gets messed up after 3 beers), but it is a nice little game for the early evening. Enjoy.
